Ex long-time public & voluntary sector founder & leader, now working as a Transformative Coach. Studied with Animas, qualified in ICF accredited Diploma in Transformative Coaching. I work with women, offering a nurturing space as a thinking partner, where the whole person can be explored and honest, creative, and often vulnerable, conversations can be had.I bring particular expertise in working with women navigating or emerging from a difficult time with their emotional and mental health, burnout, stress or overwhelm.I also work with female founders and women in the corporate & not for profit sectors, who want some space and time to explore growth and achieve greater balance in their careers, lives and wellbeing. I bring a 25 year background in national and local public & voluntary sector organisations, including fundraising, communications, project management, development of wellbeing & mental health services, team building and leadership, with particular expertise in perinatal mental health. As a previous founder & CEO of a women’s mental health charity, I have a deep understanding of the importance of caring for our whole self and taking time out to pause, reflect and renew.

Coach - Creating Space For ReflectionSelf-Employed Sep 2023 - PresentBristol, England, United KingdomI work with women as a thinking partner to provide space as they pause, reflect and move forward with changes in their lives, work, and wellbeing. I hold an ICF accredited diploma in Transformative Coaching from Animas. I offer one to one sessions online and in person at my private coaching space in Bristol.I enjoy working with women as they take time out to imagine new possibilities, navigate changes and voice challenges, where the whole person can be explored. I have particular experience in working with women who are experiencing burnout or overwhelm, or emerging from a difficult time in their lives, offering a nurturing, creative and supportive space where honest, and often vulnerable conversations can be had.I bring lived experience as a founder and CEO of an award winning charity and the highs and lows of this experience, including the path of exiting to move on to new opportunities alongside the sadness and feelings of loss in seeing the charity close its doors in 2023.

Founder & CeoBluebell Care Trust Dec 2009 - Dec 2022BristolIn 2009 I founded the Bluebell Care Trust, which grew to be an award winning charity for parents experiencing perinatal mental illness. I worked alongside parents with lived experience and professionals working in the sector to establish & develop the charity, also drawing on my own experience of perinatal mental health difficulties & my 20 year professional background in the VCS & public sector. Bluebell grew to deliver services across the South West of England supporting thousands of parents & infants and raising £7 million along the way. We opened Bluebell Place in Bristol city centre in 2016 - the first perinatal mental health wellbeing hub of its kind on a high street in the UK and a safe place that offered support to thousands of new & expectant parents. During this time, we co-founded the Hearts & Minds Partnership to support & connect the VCSE perinatal mental health sector across England in partnership with Acacia Family Support & Smile Group, which has now grown to host nearly 100 VCS orgs on its digital map of services and provide support to many local charity leaders. I exited Bluebell as CEO in 2022 to explore new opportunities and feel extremely proud of everything the charity achieved and the thousands of families it supported in its time.Even seeing the charity close its doors in 2023 and the feelings of sadness that came with this, has enriched my learning and empathy, and is something I use in my coaching practise with others who may be experiencing similar challenges.
