I have 28 years of experience as a dietitian in the NHS. I have covered many clinical areas and confident to advise on most adult medical conditions. My specialist area is nephrology (renal) and I have been involved with all areas for the past 20 years. As a renal dietitian, I had a caseload of haemodialysis and predialysis/nephrology patients and am responsible for the nutrition of about 400 patients.I have now started a new role as a diabetes renal practitioner May 24.In the freelance sector, I have my own business called Your Diet Matters and Kidney Ally. I provide online support for kidney patients. I have also done an interview for the BBC on diet and weight management. I have been involved in a research project on weight management. I have also been involved with nutrition information for a large drinks manufacturer. I have won several awards; March 2003 SHS award for the development of a training pack for nurses in nutrition, April 2012 won the British Dietetic Association Elizabeth Washington award for an online f1 doctors nutrition training modules. December 2012 won an award for dedicated patient care at Imperial College Healthcare NHS trust. January 2013 won the Star Awards, and Full Monty award at Cambian Healthcare for dietetic service.
