I have completed my Associate of Arts in Teaching Generalist (EC-6) at Palo Alto College in the Education program with a focus in Math and Science. I subsequently plan to transfer and complete a Bachelor's of Science: Interdisciplinary Studies (4-8th) Math and Science Major and additional technician certifications. For the past two years, I taught with the Junior Achievement program as a volunteer student teacher and worked as an assistant at the Kids Involvement Network (KIN) afterschool enrichment program for the North East Independent School District (NEISD). The year before that, I spent working as an assistant teacher in Early Childhood daycare centers. During my time with the NEISD KIN program and Junior Achievement and daycare centers, I gained experience in the early childhood, pre-K, Kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, and fifth-grade levels through observation hours, volunteering in the classroom, and afterschool programs. My expertise is in adapting and elaborating on academic and social lessons to accommodate students with different abilities and learning styles and sharing my knowledge of working in STEM fields and careers, college prep programs, and NEISD guidelines for certified technology education teachers. I much enjoyed teaching robotics as an assistant at the Kids Involvement Network Afterschool enrichment program Robotics Club for NEISD at least ten different elementary schools. My teaching responsibilities included working with students in the Robotics Club Program and the various San Antonio school districts in the Junior Achievement Program. Having participated in the advanced STEM programs in NEISD, I am committed to preparing students for the rigors of advancing beyond the standard elementary, middle school, and high school curriculums, readying them for college and careers.I have an innate ability to identify with the diverse needs of students, encouraging their creativity to roam free. I am an asset to any educational programs or school district and the future of STEM programs and wish nothing more than to be a part of the great team of teachers and faculty that makes the education system in Texas better than ever before. My life's passion is teaching, and as a person with the philosophy of positive behavioral progressivism, I believe that a person can never lose all their potential.I am excited to bring my dedication, along with my relevant skills and experience, to your fantastic school or program.
