My position with Mack Energy Co had me wearing many different hats. I particularly enjoyed that every new day brought about new challenges. While working there, I learned everything from working my way around a Solaris system to putting together a new computer or server. A few of my responsibilities were as follows:Network Security: This included maintaining the Fortinet Firewalls and VPNs as well as keeping up with any Antivirus and Anti-malware management software systems. Also this included patching all Windows servers.Network/Active Directory Management: This included maintenance on Active Directory, as well as setting up new network users, permissions and any networked software. In my time there we moved from an NT domain to Active Directory, though the bulk of my experience was with AD.Printer Management: I have worked on Laserjets, inkjets Copiers and more.Computer Maintenance: This covers building them from the case up to troubleshooting. Server Management: I have managed Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008 and 2012. I have very basic knowledge on Solaris 9-10.Backup Management: Most recently I have managed Unitrends backup devices.
