Her music has taken her as far afield as Japan, Hungary, Czech Republic, and France, and she has performed more locally at venues such as Jazz Café (Camden), The 100 Club (Oxford St.) and The Carling Academy (Islington). Over the years Ruth has also performed in many music festivals including the internationally renowned Brecon Jazz Festival. Over the past 15 years Ruth has developed her knowledge and experience in her career as a singing teacher and coach. Although jazz and soul are her passion, Ruth regularly works with professional and aspiring musical theatre performers, actors, dancers and is a freelance lecturer in singing performance at UCLan on the BAHons Acting degree.Ruth has QTLS (Qualified Teaching and Learning Status) and a BA hons in Drama. Prior to that she also gained invaluable acting experience through elite training courses such as the National Youth Theatre.Over the years Ruth has been lucky enough to work with many talented actors and directors and understands the grueling demands of the theatre profession and just how vital a healthy and versatile voice is to the actor.
