My name is Ruth and I am a third year student at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a career in diplomacy, with a keen interest in humanitarian relief and aid. My focus is in Asian studies and I'm currently working towards a minor in Mandarin Chinese and Cultural Expression, Human Experience and Thought, in addition to my BA in International Relations and Global Studies.I have participated in various summits and programs, including studying abroad, that dealt with international policymaking over the years and I dream of maximizing utility on a global scale in order to better the lives of people in need all over the world. My education and experience in my department also prepares me well to probe into and understand the intricacies of international relations, humanitarian relief, and cultural tensions.In my free time, I listen to and read a wide variety of music and literature. For fun, I like to collect fragrances, journals, and houseplants.I am currently looking for internship opportunities to broaden my horizons in diplomacy, humanitarian aid, and to get first-hand experience in foreign affairs!
