I relocated to the Middle East upon graduation from the University of Strathclyde. Prior to obtaining my GCAA flying licence I completed 8 weeks of intensive training at Emirates Aviation College which featured training in safety, security, emergency procedures, customer service/public relations and medical subjects. In my position as Cabin Crew for the prestigious Emirates Airline, I worked with 120 different nationalities on a daily basis. I learned to communicate with a diverse range of people as I was constantly challenged in the multicultural and cosmopolitan environment. The role gave me the opportunity to fine-tune my customer service skills, as standards on board always had to be impeccable. Furthermore, my cultural understanding was vastly improved, as I visited over 40 countries in my time at Emirates. The opportunity gave me a greater awareness of international policies, local issues and global history.
