I led forming the hiring strategy for our ten person organization and executed on it to double the team and accelerate us towards key business objectives. We provide Kiwis with a weekly meal plan, complete with recipes and a list of ingredients. The recipes they select can either be self shopped, collected or home delivered from your favourite supermarkets.We do this with a blend of Data Engineering and Modern Web Technology.

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁I grew a team from being the first backend hire to scaling it up to leading 20 people across multiple teams.𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀• I was the first backend engineer hired for a client, I personally delivered Transfers and Payment functionality in a Pre-MVP Banking Startup using Java 15 and SpringBoot.• I used this established trust to grow this engagement for Paloma over a year by hiring & managing a further 10 backend engineers.• I led multiple teams across their implementation of deliverables spanning deposits, withdrawals, bitcoin, peer-to-peer transfers, and many other areas of core digital banking.• I attended several external 1-1's and workshops to elevate my skills and transform myself from software engineer to a great engineering manager.
