I am an environmental and quality manager with over 20 years public and private sector experience in the environmental, quality and waste management sectors. In my current role as Quality & Environment Manager with Less Common Metals Ltd I am responsible for maintaining the Company's ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditations, REACH and COSHH compliance, waste management, environmental permitting requirements, and the responsible sourcing of our raw materials. I also manage the in-house testing laboratory which is pursuing accreditation to ISO17025.Previously I have worked as an independent consultant supporting SME’s in gaining ISO14001 accreditation, in addition to other environmental management support services such as waste management, EMS audits, and staff awareness training.I have recently completed a PhD at the University of Liverpool, Department of Philosophy undertaking research in the areas of space, time and causality in relation to theories of quantum gravity.
