Passionate about data and the world around us, I decided to do my post-secondary studies in the administrative field, more precisely that of accounting and management to understand how companies and institutions in our society operate and manage to manipulate data to make important decisions.So, during my three years of college, I was able to learn and deepen my computer knowledge with Sage 50, Excel, and the rest of the Microsoft Suite. I was also able to develop other key skills such as teamwork, communication, problem solving and the analysis and interpretation of accounting results.Subsequently, I acquired four years of experience as an administrative/accounting clerk where I was able to use not only my accounting and IT knowledge, but also my skills in collaborating with my colleagues, communicating with customers, suppliers and employees and my sense of organization within the company.Finally, I decided to pursue my studies in administration in the Bachelor of Commerce with the Major in Economics at John Molson School of Business.These three years have been challenging! I was able to learn new knowledge about economies of markets and globalization. Also, I was able to refine my analytical skills with advanced mathematical and statistical techniques. But above all, through this pandemic, I had to learn to be more autonomous, independent and improve my internet research skills to find the answers to my questions.And this pushed me to want to do self-learning by taking SQL, Tableau and Excel courses on Udemy. And right now, I'm even taking a course on Python.As a new graduate, I look forward to proving myself as a data analyst in this upcoming era of Web 3.0.Check out my profile : github.com/ruthialouis
