I am a theater major and creative writing minor at Trinity University. I do a lot of work on the Trinity Main Stage Productions either as House Manager or Assistant Director. Both of these positions require high levels of organization and time management. As House Manager I am in charge of a large group of ushers; I assign them to their roles for the night and monitor their work as the night goes on. As an Assistant Director I work under the head director and work to help make their vision a reality. i do this by communicating the Director's needs to the coordinator of theater and also act as a go between for the cast and director where communication may sometimes be lacking. I am also a member of the sorority Zeta Chi. We are a local sorority that celebrates individuality and strong willed women. We consistently make 'excellence' in all of our standard requirements and pride ourselves on being in good standing with the administration at all times. During my time in the club I have acted as both Alumnae Chair, where I helped coordinate alumnae weekend and managed the relationship between the our active members and our alumnae. I am also now acting as Foreign Correspondent, which means I am keeping in touch with our members who are abroad and making sure they are kept up to date with the business of the club, I also do my best to help them with any home sickness they may experience by sending them a care package during the semester.

I volunteered at Coker Elementary and taught kids chess as part of an after school program. I learned how to communicate complicated ideas through a language barrier. I hope to continue to volunteer in elementary schools since I believe learning how to play chess at a young age greatly increases a child's critical thinking abilities and aides them in their school work.

I was the first person to hold the position of Hostess at Dough Bros. I helped the restaurant make the transition from a counter-service to a sit down restaurant. I got to completely define my own role and develop a list of responsibilities for myself. I did everything from clean bathrooms to help organize our seating chart, I even built my own hostess stand.I also had to deal with customers who were displeased with the restaurant's new direction and learned how to diffuse tense situations gracefully.
