Proponent of mental health awareness and education. Seeking to apply Neuroscience research to provide psychiatric care for people affected by mental illness. I am passionate about medicine & nutrition, and exercise. I'm constantly looking for new opportunities to pursue my interest whether they're jobs, internships, programs, clubs, events, or organizations. I have completed University of Riverside's School of Medicine's Future Physician Leaders Program for the Summer of 2018. Through this program, I led a community project focused on educating college age students about "Drunk Driving Awareness in the Inland Empire Amongst Young Adults". I spent over a year working in the nutrition & supplement industry as a nutritional consultant for Nutrition Zone. In this position, I was able to provide non-medical advice to individuals who did not have access to medical care due to financial constraints and give them nutritional advise to help with a range of problems from obesity to insomnia. I'm currently a junior year Neuroscience undergraduate at UCLA and working as a research assistant in the MacDonald Medical Research Laboratory.Other than being passionate about health and medicine, I enjoy traveling abroad to learn about different cultures and their lifestyles. I try to learn something new from everyone I meet. I also apply the practices I learn about to my daily life. I am an avid exerciser who has ran a marathon (LA Marathon 2016) and completed various obstacle course races.
