About Bob Doherty

2018 was Decision Time for me. I had spent the previous 25+ years working with fabulous people building companies. The customers I had supported and the people I teamed with created relationships I cherished and still have. Yet, despite the success and the lifestyle provided to my family, I knew I needed to hit the RESTART BUTTON. Global travel resulted in missed time with my family and community which was having an impact. Prioritizing mantras of “Sales guys don’t take sick days!”, “Work hard, play hard!” resulted in diminished job satisfaction and procrastinated personal goals. Why did I feel I had to do this for the next 20 years? I had planned well for retirement but with young kids I planned to work well into my 60’s. I love working with other people, achieving the desired results and being part of a successful team. How could I continue to feed that but pivot my career to something more sustainable?I had arrived at the point where I wanted to leverage what I had built professionally, but have the freedom and flexibility to choose time with my family when I needed or wanted to.I began to consult with local companies which needed the expertise I had built over the past 25+ years. The companies I had previously worked for had provided me with the experience, training and skills to be a successful leader in the global marketplace and I use that experience working with my clients.WHAT I DO:♦ I work with CEO's who are passionate about growing their businesses, but are stuck building out Sales♦ I assess your current sales process♦ I lead, develop, coach and drive your sellers♦ I work hands on with sellers to increase their readiness♦ I define and implement the sales team's growth capabilities including Sales Planning, Hiring, Compensation, CRM, Forecasting, Sales Process and more.HOW I DO IT:♦ I work with you and/or your team as a Consultant or Outsourced VP of Sales for an agreed upon time period.♦ I execute my deliverables under a written and detailed Scope of Work (SOW) that clearly describes how I implement the discipline, accountability and needed sales infrastructure to build a high performing team.I love the work I now do with local businesses in my community.
