My responsibilities were keeping an overview of the Afghan National Army training and education system, conducting analysis of this system and producing recommendations for coalition and Afghan partners. One of my primary areas of responsibility was engaging with the Afghan senior leadership within the Ministry of Defence to help transition the literacy program to the Afghans and change the literacy concept to achieve higher quality soldiers.
