Over 3 years of store level management at Costa coffee saw me in a total of 4 stores. I delivered consistent levels of improvement in each store I managed. My focus was on team and customer engagement, and through empowerment and accountability, I created high performance cultures that consistently saw increases in the key metrics within the business.

As a Sales Executive for Banks Lyon, my position is predominantly focused on face to face high-end jewellery sales, working with customers from first introduction to after sales care. The role demands confidence, excellent communication skills, detailed product knowledge, and an ability to quickly establish a rapport with customers. Customer service is key, and is something I have excelled at consistently throughout my career. Indeed, I was headhunted for this role, based on the relationship I established with the Managing Director who was impressed with my customer service skills whilst in my previous role as a Supervisor at Costa Coffee.In addition to face to face selling on the shop floor, I also handle telephone and e-mail enquiries and sales on a daily basis, and have been trained to carry out basic watch repairs and adjustments. I have also developed good relationships with the various brand ambassadors and representatives for each of our major suppliers (Breitling, Omega, Bremont, Tissot and Longines).Following a successful initial period with the company, I was given responsibility for content creation and content management for our new website, and was a member of the website design team from the start of its redesign. For this project, I reported directly to the Managing Director, and worked with staff at all levels of the company, in order to implement his vision for the website. I received verbal praise and commendation for the time and effort I put in to completing this project outside of my usual contracted hours. I am currently responsible for handling website enquiries and following up any sales leads generated from this part of the business.

Part-time work during the 3 month summer break whilst at University, initially as an entry-level member of the team tasked with fully cleaning Lancaster University’s accommodation. Despite the short (and fixed) period of employment, I was rapidly given additional responsibility and promoted to the position of Team Leader, with my employer citing my excellent work ethic and leadership skills as particularly impressive.

A part-time role in a busy town centre Spanish tapas restaurant, again with an emphasis on customer service and good working knowledge of the menu and drinks range. The role required an ability to think on my feet, and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

Initially employed as a checkout assistant, I demonstrated a desire to progress after I left college, and my organisational and leadership skills were rewarded with progression to a Team Leader position within the store. I was responsible for 20+ members of staff during any given shift, and worked effectively with 3 other members of the checkout leadership team to effectively manage the department. During busy periods, I would liaise with the senior management team to action a quick response. Other responsibilities tracking KPI's, assisting other departments and attending management team meetings.
