Eta1 was founded to create innovative waste heat recovery systems for commercial vessels. Awarded grants for product and customer development from the University of Washington College of Engineering and the National Science Foundation respectively, we've managed to procure a platform for initial testing and to produce a proof-of-concept prototype. Design and concept won $5,000 3rd place prize in the 2016 Alaska Airlines Environmental Innovation Challenge, an intercollegiate clean technology competition for universities in the state of Washington. Additionally we've identified the initial market opportunity in the maritime industry and have made traction in same. Computational fluid dynamics model proposed to describe the system impact in terms of electrical potential and diesel fuel expense offset and air pollution reduction to be completed during the summer and fall of 2016.

EcoCAR is an intercollegiate competition to create the next generation of performance hybrid automobiles. The four year project consists of design, installation and testing of a hybrid conversion for a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. During my time with EcoCAR I led small teams in conducting architecture feasibility studies, as well as the design of the vehicle's electric powertrain mounting and coupling system. This work consisted of extensive solid modeling and analyses using Solidworks and NX and finite element analysis using NASTRAN. I've also had significant metal shop fabrication experience using the end mill, lathe and other miscellaneous shop equipment as well as some limited tig welding practice.
