Mechanical Engineering Lead
EcoCAR is an intercollegiate competition to create the next generation of performance hybrid automobiles. The four year project consists of design, installation and testing of a hybrid conversion for a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. During my time with EcoCAR I led small teams in conducting architecture feasibility studies, as well as the design of the vehicle's electric powertrain mounting and coupling system. This work consisted of extensive solid modeling and analyses using Solidworks and NX and finite element analysis using NASTRAN. I've also had significant metal shop fabrication experience using the end mill, lathe and other miscellaneous shop equipment as well as some limited tig welding practice.
