I am a Special Education teacher working with at risk youth in the City of Holyoke Ma. work with children and young adults who need extra support or require an advanced program of education in order to complete their learning successfully.I generally work with individuals who have speech and language difficulties such as dyslexia, have a mental disability such as autism, are emotionally vulnerable, have behavioral difficulties or have a combination of these disabilities. As a teacher I also work with gifted and talented individuals.The key aspect of working in this field is being able to identify an individuals needs and creating a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
