I worked on a buddy's charter fishing boat for the summer and fall salmon fishing season. My main goal was to provide customers with an experience that they will remember forever. I worked 7 days a week for 16 hours a day. I had to utilize my friendly and outgoing personality on a daily basis to ensure that everyone had a great time. We basically fished all day everyday and repeated that all summer. This was a great experience because it tested every physical and mental part of body.

Brookfield, Wi

As the Sales Specialist, I developed the Sports Event Market in the Brookfield area. My job was to find events that could fit in Brookfield and then try to bring them to the area. Our main goal was to stimulate the local economy by bringing visitors to Brookfield. I worked closely with the local restaurants, hotels, and sporting facilities to ensure that the event would be a success for everyone. We hosted events like the Gus Macker Basketball Tournament and even cycling events like the International Cycling Classic. I also attended a couple trade shows each year which allowed me to meet with tournament directors and hopefully convince them that Brookfield is a great destination for there event. Another big part of my job was to expand the Coupon Book. This was a free opportunity for local businesses like salons, spas, restaurants, etc... The book got larger every year and was a great success. I had to do a large amount of cold calling, follow up calls, and also visit every business personally.

I am the marketing intern at the Brookfield Convention and Visitors Bureau and I also worked alot on promoting the Gus Macker Basketball Tournament.

I sell coupon books for the Eau Claire area. The profits benefit the Eau Claire Boys and Girls Club. I have done door to door sales and also worked at some booths at local grocery stores.
