Serves as the initial contact for prospective students by discussing various course offerings, admissions policies and procedures; answers specific inquiries, maintains contact with prospective students, and ensures completion of application materials of students in admissions process *Assesses prospective student admission data such as COMPASS, SAT and ACT scores and reviews transcripts from high school, postsecondary institutions and other relative documentation; recommends course substitutions in the point-ranked admissions process *Provides students with academic advising by assisting with course planning, facilitating student admissions and registration, advising students of available support programs and services, and maintaining records of advising contacts *Reviews all health applicants for either processing or further referral, interviews applicants applying for readmissions*Determines acceptance of applicants according to established guidelines and approves qualified applicants using standard admissions procedures *Interviews nonqualified applicants for entry into pre-curriculum program or refers them to the appropriate office, including referrals to career center or counseling department for counseling and/or the individualized learning center for remedial work when appropriateConducts group admissions sessions for prospective students Provides information regarding offerings to applicants which requires familiarity with all curriculum and continuing education programs offered by the college Assists with placement test administration when requested Provides input and makes recommendations concerning admissions criteria, policies, and procedures Advises students regarding area employment opportunities and pertinent career information Serves on college-wide committees as requested Assists in the recruitment of students as needed

Assists the enrollment process for the Career and College Promise programConducts information sessions and registration sessions for prospective and continuing Career and College Promise studentsServes as departmental liaison with the Wake County Public School System and the Director of CTE high school for the Career and College Promise programCoordinates with internal stakeholders (Registration and Records, Curriculum Education Services, Business Office) on matters regarding the Career and College Promise program and its operating proceduresEvaluates and monitors processes and procedures of the Career and College Promise program to ensure compliance with program regulationsDevelops and implements an orientation component for Career and College Promise students to assist in the transition to collegeAdvises Career and College Promise students to assist with transition to career and college successTracks academic progress, completion rates, and post-secondary persistence, completion and academic achievement after graduation to meet Program Accountability Plan as outlined in Career and College Promise operating proceduresAnswers public inquiries regarding the Career and College Promise programAssists with implementation of policies, procedures and programming for Admissions and OutreachProvides support for daily functions of Admissions such as review of transcripts, test scores and other admission documents, responding to admission inquiries, etc.Develops and directs projects and initiatives to maximize the use of technology to enhance AdmissionsWorks closely with recruiters to provide information about Career and College Promise program and transition to post-secondary enrollment Assists with special projects and duties for Admissions, Recruiting and Outreach, and others as directed
