Ryan is Mitsui USA’s Regional Officer for Los Angeles, where he supports Mitsui’s diverse business portfolio, which includes investments in the clean energy, emerging technology, real estate, foods, machinery, steel, mobility, plastic and space sectors. In addition to his Regional Officer role, Ryan acts as Mitsui USA’s Western Region Legal Team Leader, supporting a team of attorneys who manage the legal aspects of Mitsui’s West Coast business development, trading and investment activities. Previous to Mitsui USA, Ryan was a senior associate at Pillsbury Winthrop LLP where his practice focused on private M&A transactions. Prior to Pillsbury, Ryan was an associate at various top law firms, and also served as Director of Legal and Financial Affairs for Reel Revival, LLC, a Los Angeles based high definition video transfer business.Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Psychology from UCLA and his Juris Doctorate, with a specialization in business law, from UCLA School of Law.In addition to serving on the board of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and the Japan America Society of Southern California, outside of work, Ryan’s interests include hiking, traveling, exercise and fitness, wine collecting and experiencing the challenges and rewards of raising two amazing children.
