CurrentRyan Beaver practices in the Construction and Procurement practice group in the Charlotte, North Carolina office. His practice focuses on large public and private commercial construction disputes. Ryan has extensive experiencerepresenting general contractors, large specialty subcontractors, and sureties in both private arbitrations as well as in litigation in state and federal courts. He has specific expertise in litigating payment disputes arising out ofpublic infrastructure and utility construction. Ryan has also assisted large general contractors in the negotiation and drafting of their construction contracts to meet each client’s project specific needs. Finally, Ryan has taughtnumerous seminars and classes regarding subjects such as AIA Contracts, delay damages, contract termination, practical claim documentation, and pursuing construction claims through the bankruptcy process. Ryan is amember of ABC of the Carolinas, where he serves on the Education Committee and the Carolina’s AGC where he serves on the scholarship selection committee and the Supplier Advisory Council. Ryan is also a member of the Construction Financial Management Association. In 2010, Ryan was recognized by his peers and Super Lawyersmagazine as a “Rising Star” in the field of Construction Law.
