Working as part of the corporate communications team to plan, develop and evaluate internal and external communications as part of an integrated public relations programme. -Developing good relationships across the partnership to ensure the work of the corporate comms team embodies the UHI values. - Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of internal communications campaigns. - Responsible for undertaking an internal communications audit and implementation of subsequent recommendations. - Supporting the delivery of events. - Coordinating and supporting the production of corporate publications. - Facilitating good relationships with colleagues to maximise impact. - Developing positive relationships with external stakeholders.- Planning media activity, answering enquiries and preparing statements. - Supporting UHI to fulfil its commitment to Gaelic by producing bilingual communications wherever possible.

Responsible for leading the development and delivery of communications and engagement to press, public and staff for high profile programmes of work within the education resources portfolio - with an initial focus on improving the learning estate. Also responsible for ensuring that all communications and engagement activity accurately reflects and supports the council’s objectives with regard to Education Resources programmes of work. Other duties include:- Assisting with the creation of content for the council’s communication activities with press, public and staff.- Providing a point of contact for media and press enquiries.- Providing advice and guidance to council staff, heads of service, senior managers and councillors on various media issues as required. - Attending council meetings and providing publicly accessible reports.- Assisting with the planning and promotion of events.

Also responsible for promoting the work of the company and its staff across its 11 airports and head office.
