As a Professional Engineer, with 26 years of local & international exposure in both theManufacturing and Engineering Consultancy Industries, I have gained a comprehensive set ofskills and experience. I am determined and resilient in my work approach and I take pride in my ability to critically evaluate challenges and provide solutions that maximise efficiency & profitability while minimising risk.During the first 8 years of my career I was employed as a Design Engineer at an international pump manufacturing company. During this period I gained experience in the design, research and development (of both products and design tools), performance testing, commissioning and quality assurance of equipment being manufactured at the works. I later joined the Engineering Consulting Industry to increase my exposure within the broaderengineering industry. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Water Business Unit, I contributed to the delivery of various projects for water supply, water treatment, wastewater treatment and hydropowergeneration. I was afforded the opportunity to grow the mechanical team’s capacity and expertisealong with the protocols and best practices related thereto. My role and responsibilities within the business unit progressed over time, to the point where Iwas appointed to the position of Director of the Water North Advisory group. In this role I wasresponsible for (100+) staff and projects being executed out of the Johannesburg, Bedfordview,Pretoria, Bloemfontein, and Nelspruit offices.A new business model strategy within the company provided me with an opportunity, asa Director in the Products & Innovation Business Units Operations team, to extend my international experience by working with colleagues, clients and on projects around the world. An opportunity within the company became available to fulfill the role of a Senior Project Manager with the Southern Africa Water Business Unit where I managed the delivery of various water and wastewater relatedprojects.In February 2023 I joined an Irish Engineering Consultancy with a dual role of Lead Mechanical Engineer in the UK Wastewater Delivery Design Team & The South African Design Centre Manager responsible for building the company's presence in South Africa.
