Ryan is a Project Manager with approximately 10 years of experience in construction and design. Construction: Project manager at Discovery Builders for the Beach Clubhouse and Beach Cottages at HM45 Makena, Maui. As the PM for the Beach Cottages (two, 2-story single family luxury developments), Ryan ran OAC meetings, overall schedule, subcontractor meetings, and was responsible for the overall project. He is proficient in Procore budget/forecasting, submittal setup, submittal review, RFI creation and execution, CE/PCO/CCO/PCCOs, commitments (PO's, MSA's and work authorizations). He is great at setting up projects right from the beginning so that the rest of the project runs smoothly. This involves page turns, scope review, specification review and buyout. Ryan has experience in design, rating and evaluation of bridges for Arizona and Oklahoma. Ryan is very familiar with AASHTO and FHWA Inspection manuals, BrM, and a variety of other structural evaluation and inspection software. Certifications: FHWA-NHI course 130055 (Bridge inspection 2-week course), FHWA-NHI course 130078 (FC Inspection Techniques), FHWA-NHI course 130087 (Inspection and Maintenance of Ancillary Sign Structures), confined space training and has over 1200 hours as a SPRAT climber.Design: At Parsons Transportation Group, Ryan was involved with TxDOT SH 183 and TxDOT IH35E projects as well as ADOT 202 South Mountain and SW Calgary Ring Road proposals. During these projects he assisted with the substructure and superstructure design using TxDOT PG Super, RC Pier, Leap Conspan, LPile, SP Column, Microstation and Inroads as well as preparing hand calculations using Microsoft Excel and PTC Mathcad. Ryan is familiar with many standards including AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Manual, AASHTO Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets, TxDOT Bridge Design Manual, TxDOT Bridge Detailing Manual, ACI-318-11 Building Code, and the AISC Steel Construction Manual.
