For major Hurricane Flood Protection Levee, performed geotechnical site visits, reviewed soil samples, and performed engineering classifications of soils. Researched industry standards on levee erosion criteria, including Corps of Engineers publications and studies at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Developed extensive spreadsheet computations to determine estimated erosion potential of flood protection levees. For consulting firm teaming with PSI, presented technical material at meetings including levee erosion and horizontal directional drilling calculations. Also performed a technical review of firm's flood risk analysis calculations. Performed extensive slope stability and seepage analysis for 16 levee cross-section locations, analyzed cone penetrometer tests (CPT) for 15 miles of levee, assessed landside uplift potential at select locations, and performed other key levee calculations. Utilized industry software including Geostudio (Slope/W and Seep/W), gINT, and Corpscon. For 8 design memorandums, tabulated over 160 analysis findings, discussed key conclusions, and generated over 160 engineering plates.
