I was born in Ireland and educated at the Christian Brothers Grammar School in Omagh. Following my graduation from Grammar School I read law at the prestigious Queens University of Belfast, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws with the UK equivalent of a magna cum laude.During college I was selected to participate in the Business Education Initiative, spending a year studying in Notre Dame College of Ohio, with an emphasis on International Business Studies. I maintained a GPA of 4.0 throughout the year, was privileged to be selected for the President's List for both semesters and subsequently received a Certificate in International Business Practice with distinction.The year spent studying in America inspired me to later return and pass the New York Bar Exam in 2006. Subsequently I returned in 2007, obtained employment as a defense litigator and remained in the City until September 2015 when I relocated to San Diego with my wife.
