Thank you for taking the time to review my profile and consider me for a teaching position. I hold a Master’s in Education, specialising in teaching multilingual learners, and I am a qualified teacher in England and Wales. For the past 15 years, I have lived abroad, beginning with a teaching internship in Beijing in 2010. While I initially did not plan to stay so long, I developed a deep appreciation for the culture and language, which enriched both my personal and professional life. Living internationally has nurtured my open-mindedness and patience, and these qualities I bring to the classroom.I am currently a Grade 3 Learning Expert Teacher at BASIS International School Bangkok, where the curriculum is built on a co-teaching model. This role involves extensive collaboration with colleagues to plan and deliver lessons, as well as providing targeted intervention for students who require additional support with reading and writing. My approach to teaching is rooted in differentiation, and I pride myself on creating a positive, inclusive environment where all students feel valued. I use interactive, engaging methods such as games to make learning enjoyable and relate concepts to my pupils' interests, fostering intrinsic motivation and ownership of their learning. In addition to my teaching experience, I am conversational in Mandarin, having achieved HSK Level 4, and I have a passion for language acquisition, which allows me to empathise with second language learners. Outside the classroom, I am an avid musician and scuba diver, with hobbies in sound engineering, video editing, and underwater photography—activities I enjoy sharing with my students to build rapport. I am excited by the opportunity to relocate and embrace new challenges, and I look forward to continuing my professional development at a school that values growth and creativity. Thank you for your time and consideration.
