I collaborated directly with the Chief Investment Officer on various strategic research projects.One project involved analyzing the social media networks around key decision makers within the portfolio. My research resulted in a list of influential thought leaders for the Investment Management Division (IMD) to monitor when making investment decisions. Branching off from this project, I also organized research on institutional investors (pension plans, university endowments, other health care institutions), which resulted in an additional resource to use for due diligence on current/prospective managers. Finally, with an understanding of tech driven collaboration/communication tools I was able to pitch the CIO on testing the use of several products that would increase operational efficiencies, improve due diligence processes, and develop more transparency throughout the team. During my time at MSK, I was able to organize and spearhead the testing phase of Slack/Trello with several stakeholders, including the CIO.

The team has established multiple goals including analyzing the current debt level, securing additional funding, and developing a strategy to increase revenue and operate profitably. This strategy includes re-evaluating the current advertisement pricing structure in addition to developing an online advertisement initiative to open additional revenue streams. Following this, we are laying the framework to establish a budget and allocate funds for additional printing of new sections, improved office equipment, and a more effective social media campaign.
