I am naturally wired to find ways to improve design, organization, operational processes, and output. I am a creative and strategic thinking problem solver. My formal education in design and manufacturing, and my work, have given me experience in all aspects of design and manufacturing from initial concept development to manufactured goods delivered.I have done product design and development for a U.S based innovation company where I had the chance to design and work on products that are sold in several countries. The work that I did for this company has earned me design and utility patents.I currently work for Swagelok in Custom Solutions (CS) at the Solon Technology Center (STC) where I build custom fluid systems for global and domestic customers. As part of the CS team, I have gained a deep understanding of Swagelok’s product technologies, both in theory and in practical application. Over the last three years my role on the CS team has grown to include leadership and strategic responsibilities and has resulted in my involvement in multiple keystone projects. At the end of 2018 I was asked to co-lead a CEPM (Capital Equipment Purchase Methodology) for a major equipment purchase that is key to the daily operations of the CS department. The CEPM project required me to analyze the CS team’s needs to ensure that we designed equipment that would meet and grow our capabilities, meet with different equipment suppliers, do an onsite visit to the supplier/manufacturer for performance verification and approval, and lead the training and integration of the new equipment into our operations. This project is ongoing but is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.In 2019 I was asked to lead a Lean event for a multi-use area of the CS facility. This area is used for custom machining, welding, weld adjustment, orbital welding, and assembly fabrication. Leading this event required me to assess the needs of the different teams and ensure that the solutions we developed worked. To accomplish these changes I worked with members of Swagelok’s IS team, Facilities team, and outside contractors. This project is in the final stages of completion and is expected to finish in June of 2020.I enjoy helping others and understand the importance of working as a team. Used to working on small teams, I am comfortable wearing multiple hats and working in dynamic environments. I strive to bring enthusiasm, passion, and knowledge from my experiences to any role that I am working in.
