I spent 6 years in the Army as a Combat Engineer team leader. With 2 combat tours each to Afghanistan and Iraq. I spent 3 months as a security officer. After that I spent 4 months as a landscaper. I spent 4 years as a engineering technician with Construction Materials Testing. Responsible for quality control and quality assurance of numerous projects in the Des Moines area. Including but not limited to, concrete, soils, asphalt, steel inspections for commercial, residential projects. I am certified by the Iowa Department of Transportation for concrete, soils and asphalt testing. I am also certified by the American Concrete Institute for concrete lab strength and field sampling of concrete. Currently I am a field lab supervisor/logisitics coordinator with Construction Materials Testing.
