I manage the Metric Quality and Test Tools team (MQTT). We have two distinct core goals. We ensure that the critical company metrics including those that are publically reported are accurate. One of our core approaches for solving that challenge is testing. From that solution, we became the team that is building the testing tools that enable all client engineers at Pinterest to test.

I built the Android app from scratch. With fewer engineers than the iOS team and starting multiple years later we achieved feature parity within a year. We made major improvements to the API and created a testable app that allowed quick iteration.

I built and founded TrackIt!TrackIt allows everyday people to make their life data driven. With TrackIt we made it easy to record simple events in your facts and make big discoveries to improve your life. Have trouble sleeping, track what you did before bed and we'll find the correlation. Long commute, track travel time and when you leave and we'll tell you how to make it better. Just want your day to be better, use our pre-made day in review to find what makes a good day for you.TrackIt received some seed funding from the accelerator start co. We later pivoted to Phase, but I secretly always liked TrackIt more.

I worked on everything from analytics, search to video chat and much inbetween. Beyond that I participated in product development and market strategy.

Worked at an incubator, developed a web application, marketed application, met with investors and did everything related to starting a business. I stopped working on the project to finish my master's degree.The application was Facebook app designed with the goal of being able to determine how socially compatible users are based on their Facebook profiles. It had wide reaching applications ranging from roommate matching, dating, fund raising and more.

Led a small team of students to build a online course catalog for Clemson.

I traveled the country and played video games professionally. I started playing Shadowrun for the Xbox 360 on the team Phase 1. We were ranked MLG Professional level, which means we were consistently a top team. I then started playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl where for a while I had the most tournament wins of anyone in the world with my character, Pit. The trick to that was to play in lots of very small not that competitive tournaments but still was a neat distinction.Hidden challenges of professional gaming include recruiting teammates, scheduling practices and skirmishes, finding sponsors to cover tournament travel expenses, managing team members, innovating new strategies and staying constantly aware of the competition. Finding team members and getting sponsors required a good pr presence which includes getting earned media, creating original content to bring attention to the team, having a team branding and personality and much more. Surprisingly this all translated into excellent entrepreneurship training.
