Senior Systems Engineer: Systems Engineer (SE) for the Comprehensive Large Array-data Stewardship System (CLASS) with the primary focus of evaluating, implementing, and verifying system and campaign requirements. Meeting with customers to determine and document their needs for the CLASS system. Leveraging system knowledge to determine potential methods to achieve requirement implementation, which includes creating and reviewing change control requests and software and system designs. Presenting design and change requests to review boards. Additionally, working with other departments to design solutions, implement change, and ensure requirements are being met. Providing technical assistance to operators, testers, and developers.Deputy SE Lead: Working closely with SE lead on current tasking, assisting other system engineers with work flow, and providing technical guidance.Systems Engineer, Integration and Test (SEIT) Lead: Responsible for coordinating, documenting, approving, and conducting tests with internal and external users. As the owner of the Performance and Load (PaL) testing environment, accountable for ensuring system availability and readiness. Also, responsible for tracking releases and maintenance schedules for the PaL, working with external data producers to gather their requirements, and coordinating system support to meet implementation needs.

Senior Applications Systems Analyst: Maintained daily operational capability (O&M) and worked on streamlining an enterprise system that encompassing one production and five development environments spread over numerous geographic sites. Each environment utilizes a combination of IBM, Dell, HP hardware that ran LINUX (RHEL) and UNIX (HP-UX) operating systems. Additionally, responsible for evaluation, coordination, and implementation of the enterprise system redesign. Initially worked on this project under Lockheed Martin, but the contract transitioned to Mantech.

Systems Administrator Staff (UNIX): Key member of the Operations and Maintenance team conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on all hardware primarily consisting of Sun Enterprise, Volume, and Threaded servers, Dell Servers, EMC DMX-3 SAN equipment, Cisco SAN switches, and NAS Head servers. Supported various software components including Arcsight, Oracle 10G & RAC, IBM WebSphere & Tivoli software, Tripwire, Netcool, and various other system management software. Additionally, managed Sun Logical Domain (LDOM) virtual servers by setting up new domains, adding storage, allocating resources, and performing system snapshots and restorations. Monitored, maintained, and troubleshot web applications, software clusters, and other enterprise applications. Reviewed, tested, and executed system failovers from production to alternate site configuration for Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and software build deployments. Supported various system deployment and upgrades.Storage Area Network (SAN) administrator: Translated application requirements into physical storage, maintaining two EMC DMX-3s, two NAS SRDF servers, two NAS 480 file servers, and four Cisco SAN switches with 200 terabytes of storage between the primary and failover site. Provided on-site support and training on SAN operations for development lab personnel. Determined Oracle database disk needs and optimized SAN disk configuration for performance.Account Administrator: Managed over 2,000 user and application accounts. Reviewed and maintaining account paperwork, determined level of access, developed user procedures and forms, created access policies, and provide support for account issues. Additionally, provided user usage data and account synchronization statistics.

Primary responsibilities included being part of a two-man rotating team providing nightly coverage to monitor and trouble shoot hardware and software issues, executed scripts to perform system optimization, report generation, system and database backups, and performed mandatory information purge from Oracle database. In addition, provided support to approximately 500 end-users and a network of 450 user workstations, Dell servers, and several HP Superdome partitions.

Responsible for three different networks: two heterogeneous networks (WIN2K/NT, HP-UX, and Solaris), and one network (WINXP) encompassing over 100 end-users and responsible for various military specific systems. Day-to-day operations included monitoring system logs for anomalies, patching software vulnerabilities, maintaining user accounts, performing system backups, providing end-user training, imaging workstations and servers, troubleshooting network problems, and installing software and hardware.
