The Board of Trustees is comprised of seven members elected by district to four-year terms by the voters in south Orange County. Board members reside in the areas they represent. Terms are staggered with elections being held every two years in connection with the general election. The Board oversees all academic programs and educational services by establishing policies to assure the quality, integrity and effectiveness of the student learning programs and services, and the financial stability of Saddleback College, Irvine Valley College and the Advanced Technology & Education Park's over 50,000 students and over $1.3 billion budget.
