Fso Liberdade (Bayu Undan Offshore Complex) - Timor Sea & Tibar Port (Timor-Leste)

The Bayu-Undan offshore complex includes a wellhead platform, CUQ (compression, utilities and quarters platform), DPP (drilling, production and processing platform), and the Liberdade FSO (Floating Storage and Offloading Facility - an integrated condensate and LPG FSO). The Operator (Santos) is decommissioning the FSO as it is coming to the end of its working life and must be decontaminated prior to scrapping. I am the Senior Decommissioning Engineer and Decontamination Client Lead for field works. Core role duties include:► Tendering/quoting on major services contracts, developing Scope of Work documents to project manage the contracts, researching and testing cleaning methodologies to ensure safe enough levels of contamination to dismantle the FSO.► Offshore work on the FSO including suspension of operations, flushing and removal of all process contaminants, FSO disconnection, removal of subsea systems, and developing safe handover documentation and procedures ► All aspects of project management, cost control, client relationship and performance management, as well as client meetings with Company Directors and Management, and daily reporting back to Santos Head Office ► Managing the planning of logistics and transport requirements FSO decontamination.► Working with international laws and waste management back into Australia, and developing, communicating and abiding with all required legislation, codes and standards► Engaging in Local Content and developing a training programme to train up Timor-Leste locals to assist project delivery► Conducting technical and commercial evaluations of contractor submissions, and awarding contracts.

Chevron’S Wheatstone Downstream Lng Facility - Onslow, Wa

AGC provides engineering, construction and maintenance solutions to the oil and gas, mining and industrial sectors, and they were awarded the Primary Maintenance Contract for delivery of the first major turnaround event for LNG Train 1 at the Wheatstone LNG processing plant in Onslow. Employed as TAR Superintendent, my core role duties included (but were not limited to):► Direct management of coordinators and supervisors during ramp up to the TAR (Turnaround event), and direct management of the entire multi-discipline (electrical, mechanical, cranes, rigging, scaffolding, painting and lagging) TAR Team during execution.► Providing clear context of team and individual expectations, offering technical and procedural guidance and mentoring, driving and appraising performance, ensuring all team members have the same opportunities for reward and recognition, and modelling positive workplace behaviours in line with company values (same for all leadership roles below)► Estimation of TAR schedules and costs, creating SOW (Scope of Work) for contractors, reviewing and signing off work packs, and ensuring the overall safe, on-time and on-budget delivery of the TAR to required specifications and standards► Managing client and supplier relationships, including working closely with an international provider on the planning of specialized welding activities with pressure testing for completion of a critical task within a small execution window.

Chevron’S Gorgon Lng Project (Onshore Facilities) - Barrow Island, Wa

UGL provides engineering, design, project management, construction, shutdown, asset management and maintenance services to the oil and gas, mining, refining and chemical processing sectors. They hold a maintenance services contract for Chevron’s Gorgon LNG Project, which includes a 15.6 MTPA LNG plant and 300 terajoules of gas/day domestic gas plant. Employed as TAR (Turnaround) Supervisor/Coordinator and Team Leader for Pre-Planning, my core role duties included (but were not limited to):► Perth-based Team Leader for front-end loading (main focus point between UGL and Chevron Operations teams for permits, isolations and job packs), as well as Critical Path Supervisor and SCS Isolations Coordinator, working closely with the Chevron Operations Coordinator to assist in the shutdown, clean up and restart of the Gorgon LNG plant► Step-Up Superintendent for leave coverage.► Phase 7 Coordinator responsible for ensuring the safe and timely return of LNG Train 3 to live production operations.

My role in the Standardised Work Deployment Team was to seek ways to improve the baseline in a way that is "safer, easier, and better." Associated core role duties included (but were not limited to):► Leading by example regarding safety compliance, following all safe work systems to enable Zero Harm for people, equipment and environment, maintaining strong awareness of the surrounding work environment to identify and control hazards, and holding meaningful safety interactions to raise awareness.► Providing high-quality planning, equipment reliability, coaching and leadership for the Fixed Plant Maintenance Department, so-as to enable the continuous availability and performance of fixed mining and processing plant through safe, on-time and cost-effective planned, reactive and shutdown maintenance works.► Working collaboratively with Fixed Plant Maintenance teams and Engineers across the site to understand plant availability, reliability and performance issues, identifying ways to increase efficiencies in maintenance processes (i.e. continuous improvement initiative), and developing sustainable solutions to technical plant and equipment issues► Facilitating workshops with Fixed Plant maintenance and engineering teams to map out tasks and the most cost-effective and efficient methods for fixed plant maintenance, as well as developing and implementing associated Standardised Work Procedures, and using BOS Standardised work methodology and supporting practices tools► Regular usage of the SAP computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

Embedded within the Chevron (Client/Owner) team in a core maintenance role, key role accountabilities include (but are not limited to):► Coordinating, supervising and developing a core mechanical maintenance team, providing clear context of team and individual expectations, providing technical and procedural guidance and mentoring, measuring performance, appropriately confronting any under-performance, and encouraging respectful dialogue to solve issues► Planning, coordinating and supervising core maintenance works, shutdowns and overhauls, focusing resources on tackling prioritized items first, making confident decisions, facilitating pre-start and toolbox meetings, and ensuring an integrated approach with other cross-functional trades teams► Reading and interpreting schematics, isometrics, P&ID’s and regulatory Standards and Codes to ensure site maintenance tasks were completed to required specifications with correct materials (and same for below role)► Ensuring compliance with isolation, PTW and LOTO systems and procedures for standard and high-risk works.► Carrying out core plant maintenance and condition monitoring activities on gas turbines, process valves, fin fans, seal systems, pumps, compressors and all other active production equipment, so-as to support continuous LNG production and the overall integrity and availability plant and equipment► Creating technical and operational documents to support maintenance tasks, and Mechanical Isolator responsible for creating isolations for work groups to carry out maintenance tasks► Commissioning and start-up activities on all mechanical processing equipment, conducting and supervising DAC and PSSR walk downs, and weekly and monthly preservation► Flange management and flange certification, hydraulic and pneumatic torqueing and tensioning, and precision levelling and aligning of engineering components► Regular usage of the JD Edwards computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

Worsley Alumina Refinery - Collie Wa

Commencing as an Apprentice Mechanical Technician (completed in mid-2012), I was then placed on the Shift Maintenance Team working day and night shifts to carry out high priority jobs around the refinery. Key role accountabilities included (but were not limited to):► Installation, removal, rebuild and/or repair of pumps, bearings, mechanical seals, process pipework and valves, repairing and fitting engineering components, and maintaining and repairing mechanical drives and transmission assemblies► Shutdown maintenance within the refinery and powerhouse, conducting safe isolations, and coordinating and supervising small contract work groups to ensure compliance with South32 technical and HSE requirements► Regular maintenance on ball and rod mills, changing out rollers and conveyor belts, inspecting or removing blowers, welding patches onto blown out pipework, and regular usage of the SAP CMMS► Maintaining diligent compliance with all safe work systems to ensure safety for myself, my colleagues and the equipment► Precision mechanical measuring, and general fault-finding and troubleshooting of continuous alumina processing plant ► Working safely and efficiently within site Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) systems and procedures► Carry out fitting and machining within the workshop and refinery, including general machining using lathes and mills► Reading and interpreting technical drawings and performing computations and engineering measurements► Assembling, dismantling, replacing, levelling and/or aligning a wide range of engineering componentsProviding on-the-job supervision, training and mentoring for Apprentices.
