Platoon Leader of an M3A3 Heavy Scout Platoon in the 1st Squadron, 7th US Cavalry, the Division Cavalry Squadron of the First Cavalry Division. Responsible for the platoon's complex contingency mission to inlcude rapid deployment force operations and the integration of direct and indirect fires and engineer resources. Chared with planning, training, and executing tactical missions and providing the troop commander with timely and accurate information. Responsible for the tactical employment, maintenance, and accountability of six M3A3 Cavalry Fighting Vehicles and ancillary equipment valued in excess of $30 million. Additionally responsible for the health, welfare, training, and readiness of 29 soldiers.
