Soldiers' Medical Evaluation Board Counsel
Current- Prepared written appeals and other pleadings on behalf of clients to the appropriate Medical Evaluation Board (MEB), Physical Evaluation Board (PEB), the US Army Physical Disability Agency (USAPDA), and the Department.
- Cultivated mutually-beneficial relationships with Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officers (PEBLO), physicians, unit commanders, Department of Veterans Affairs personnel, and other IDES stakeholders in order to.
- Served as counsel for 23 clients at their Formal Physical Evaluation Board hearings
- Supervised one military attorney and one military paralegal as Fort Knox Reserve Component Expansion Lead Counsel, managing a heavy caseload and clients with unique legal needs
- Experienced in Active Duty, Reserve Component, National Guard, and Temporary Disability Retirement List (TDRL) cases and their respective unique challenges
- Extensive knowledge of and familiarity with US Army Disability Evaluation System regulations and procedures as well as the Veterans Administration Schedule for Rating Disabilities
