My first and only oil field job is slickline. I started in 2006 at the age of 18 and I made the decision to choose the profession as my career choice. I have been a Slickline Operator since 2008 and have learned something new every day. I originally started operating for mostly offshore production and rig work. I enjoy what i do for a living and i feel very fortunate for the opertunity i have been given. As well as the experienced teachers that i have had the privilege of learning and working with. I'm always open to learn more ways to do things safer and more efficient. I have never had a lost time incident, or personal injury in my offshore career. Like most, I have certain set ways about how I go about my rig up and how I service my equipment, but I also understand that everything is subject for change sooner or later. If I was to be corrected on something I was doing wrong or unsafe, I respectively stand corrected with no further debate. In turn the situation is never repeated or practiced in the wrong manor it was performed in. Anything worth doing is worth doing right.
