• Handle over 37% of company non-operated accounts in both Marcellus & Bakken regions. Procedures included, accurate coding of expenses, solving working interest disputes, reconciling accounts, and updating the non-operated tracking spreadsheets for use by the Business Analysts.• Run monthly JIB run and upload operated JIBs to JIBLink.• Prepare monthly drilling, completion, and workover overhead actuals and accrual entries.• Process monthly entries of company owned equipment rentals, including drill pipe and frac tanks.• Create and update JIB decks for various operated and non-operated properties.• Complete reverse rebooks on various operated properties when ownership interest changed as confirmed by the Land Department.• Manage various GL account reconciliations including but not limited to, OEE/Well Control Insurance, Prepaid Drilling Advances, AP Joint Venture Clearing, and others as assigned.• Maintain Joint Venture Department monthly calendar.• Special projects included testing of accounting software for Excalibur upgrade, and importing AFE Budgets into AFE Navigator.

• Prepare, analyze, and post month end lease operating and authorization for expenditure (AFE) accruals for the South Texas & Gulf Coast region, involving, but not limited to: communication with regional asset managers and engineers to ensure accuracy of figures, reclassification of expense amounts between cost types and investigation and verification of anomalous estimates to ensure accuracy.• Manage all South Texas & Gulf Coast non-operated joint venture billings accounts of employer including: accurate coding of all expenses, overhead, revenue netting, cash calls, and working interest discrepancies, Joint Venture Account reconciliation; prompt JIB invoice processing, and processing of correcting entries as necessitated by account for issue resolution.• Document analysis of capital activity for monthly regional reporting packages distributed to both internal and external parties.• Various other accounting activities including special projects as requested, including, but not limited to, GL account reconciliations, expense reclassifications, process documentation, process improvement, training of new employees, and review of new employees work.• Participated in various continuing education courses to enhance knowledge of oil & gas accounting practices, including PDI Joint Venture Accounting courses.Implemented SM Energy’s use of the JIBLink website which involved working with the vendor and creating a training program for the other Accountants.
