Role involved: Teaching and guiding students the correct set-up and use of various field methods and geospatial techniques, including hand-held GPS, differential GPS (dGPS), laser rangefinders, and total stations. Member of a research team with the British Geological Survey on annual field research trip to Iceland as part of the BGS-NERC Iceland Glacier Observatory project which monitors the retreat of the Virkisjökull-Falljökull glaciers and its hydrological effect on the proglacial river.
