I work at reception of the Maroondah Leisure aquatic facilities and deal with membership sales, general questions, casual sales and sometimes fights and disputes. I exercise quality people's skills to ensure I come across as friendly and welcoming to our members and guests. Additionally, I have to be patient and coherent as some patrons can struggle to understand our policies and prices. Ultimately, in this role I increase customer satisfaction and increase revenue/sales for the facility.

I patrol the pools within the Maroondah Leisure facilities preventing injuries and fatalities from occurring in and around the water. I exercise high levels of concentration and focus when at work to ensure no one is missed, and, when incidents do occur, I exercise leadership and problem solving skills to tend to the patient and ensure they are given the best treatment possible. Ultimately, this allows patrons to feel safe and comfortable using our facilities and therefore, results in more revenue flowing into the facility.

I teach the year 7 cohort of Whitefriars College basic swimming skills to ensure they can all swim and survive in aquatic environments. A lot of the students don't enjoy swimming so I have to tailor the sessions to the students to ensure they gain enjoyment out of it, whilst still achieving the main goal of developing essential survival skills. Ultimately, my teaching prevents these students from falling into trouble within the water which is a positive outcome.

I coach the Whitefriars College swim team, preparing them for their carnival each year at MSAC against rival schools within the ACC league. I developed a rapport with the students ensuring that they didn't think of swim trainings as a chore, rather, a fun activity. I used my skills of leadership and knowledge of swimming to develop the students to become better swimmers and faster in the water. The team came runners up this year which is a large improvement from last year and a testament to the hard work they put into training leading up to the carnival.
