About Ryan Dolibois

Ryan Dolibois currently serves as the founding executive director of the Sarofim Foundation. The Foundation was established by Mr. Fayez Sarofim prior to his passing in 2022 as an expression of gratitude for the many opportunities he experienced during his lifetime. When fully funded, the Sarofim Foundation will be among the largest philanthropic organizations in Houston. Ryan is a nonprofit leader in Houston with over twenty-five years of experience in executive management, fundraising, strategic planning, and teaching. Working with board members and executive teams, he has raised over $175 million from local and national foundations, congregations, and individuals to support high impact growth and long-term sustainability for various nonprofits in our city. Ryan began his career in a Houston elementary school as a Teach for America corps member, where he was named first year Teacher of the Year for the state of Texas. For a decade, he then helped lead the growth of YES Prep Public Schools, a Houston charter school system, through its first strategic plan that tripled the size of the organization and set the foundation for future expansion. At Episcopal High School, he helped initiate an ambitious capital campaign and led the School's admissions, communications, and development efforts. Through his tenure, EHS achieved its highest parent participation and annual fundraising totals in school history. During his eight years at Yellowstone Schools, Ryan led the transformation of the organization, doubling both the campus footprint and its student population. Under his leadership, in 2018, Yellowstone launched an innovative school model that is the first of its kind in Texas. Today, the campus includes Yellowstone Academy, a private, Christian school serving prek-5th grade students, and Yellowstone College Prep, a public charter school, growing to serve students in 6th through 12th grade. Within the next three years, the Yellowstone Schools will serve nearly 800 students on an expanded campus in the heart of Houston's Third Ward. Ryan is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and holds a masters in educational leadership from National Louis University. He has volunteered and served on several nonprofit boards in Houston. He and his wife, Kim, have three children, and they attend Christ the King Presbyterian Church, where Ryan also serves as a member of the session.
