I am a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Gies College of Business, where I obtained my Masters of Accounting Science in 2018. I plan to use my degree to position myself in a role where I can add value to my workplace.My accounting background has given me a unique understanding of the foundation that business is built upon, as well as an appreciation for how details make up a larger strategic vision. Moving forward into my career I am eager to learn even more about the business and use that knowledge to propel myself and my company forward.Additionally, during my time at UIUC, I learned the importance of diversity and inclusion in all spaces. As I pursue a career in a traditionally less diverse field, I plan to bring this realization and perspective with me. I intend to be open-minded, learn more about the experiences of others, use my voice to amplify those who would otherwise not be heard and leverage those differences to create value for a company.
