Tender proposals for water and wastewater treatment plants across Africa and South Africa: Responsible for various aspects of preliminary design, cost estimating, compilation and submission of tender documents:Organise and partake in bid initiation, technical and commercial review meetings and subsequent follow up meeting with technical and commercial directors.Compilation of technically compliant and complete Subcontract Enquiry Packages and ensure receipt and availability of subcontract responses and offers in time.Ensure that the cost estimate is built up methodically and in sufficient detail and is in accordance with good estimating practice and co-ordination and preparation of the bid including collection of input from various sub-contractors or 3rd party and suppliers.Responsible for the compilation and verification of detailed material take offs from tender drawings and scope of work documentationEnsure a clear understanding of the scope of work and best possible cost estimation with respect to the execution of the project as well as the adjudication of prospective vendors technical and commercial bid to ensure compliance and responsiveness to the conditions of contract.Ensure that commercial and technical submissions are fully compliant with the conditions of contract with all necessary details of clarifications and qualifications to the proposal clearly communicated.Present the cost estimate in full detail to management for review and final approval. Responsible, with senior management, for the identification, evaluation and ranking of risks as well as developing a strategy to manage and mitigate the risks to the company as the basis for estimating an appropriate contingency allowance for inclusion in the cost estimate.Prepare estimated project programme using Microsoft Project, providing man-hours for each activity and also ensure correctness to capture anticipated durations and man power requirements and indicative cash flow forecasts
