Business Project Manager for SCADA and DMS Deployment for the Carolinas. Multi year and multi million dollar project. Worked closely with the Carolinas IT Project Manager to implement business requirements and incorporate upgraded features.

Managed the resource plan for project resources across the Duke Energy Smart Grid organization. Established resource plans for both company and contractors on 20 major projects. The resource plans were integrated to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. As resources completed their assignment they would be assigned new projects. Tracked the timing and put plans to ensure there was no gap in timing.

The purpose of this position is to build a work plan based upon a budget and align resources to that plan efficiently and cost effective. The work plan was adjusted as budgets increased or decreased. I also rotated in and out to different special projects based on my skill set. I created an integrated work force strategy plan for the Carolinas Distribution organization. The outputs from the model visually displayed the flow of resources from each job function and how those functions became feeder pools. Assessed the most critical roles for attention and looked beyond just retirements.I also served on the integration team for the merger of Duke Energy and Progress Energy. My role was to work with the engineering and resource management team to help with data mining, financial comparisons and defining the new organization.

Analyzed month financials for a region in the distribution organization. Created profit and loss statements for our non regulated businesses and advised on strategies. Performed monthly account reconciliations and journal entries. Became a true business partner with the region I supported, offering strategy and business changes.

Created, analyzed and updated financial statements for the non reg retail business. Forecasted financial statements based on customer growth, retail supply, marketing and overheads. Worked with each business area to establish operating budgets that aligned with our financial goals

Performed a cost accountant role in the IntraSystem Affiliate Billing group. Established billing allocations and a process to update the methodology. Automated the process using Microsoft Access. Performed journal entries and account reconciliations.
