Dedicated to ensuring all people have access to the things that make a good life. It is important to me that the places we live and call home are safe for our friends, family and neighbors. I believe that we all should be able to live in a safe environment and have access to good education, opportunities for advancement (school or work), available healthcare, and an affordable place to live. I have successfully led volunteer groups through strategy development processes, that have guided United Way's investment into Columbus area programs related to safe neighborhoods and safe and decent housing. I am also an experienced Land Use and Strategic Planner. I Have successfully managed land use planning initiatives from start to finish. These projects have allowed me to lead community groups and educate them about the process of plan creation and adoption. These experiences allowed me to facilitate public meetings and engage local residents to explain the benefits of sound planning. I am interested in the development of land as it relates to the impact it has on people's lives. Land use decisions have a long term lasting impact on social issues and I seek solutions to community development that break down barriers to some of societies most pressing challenges.
