As a lifelong learner and servant to the community, I have dedicated my life to furthering my education in medicine to enhance every patient's quality of healthcare. My expertise lies in my interpersonal and communication skills which I have honed early on as a bartender/server at fine dining restaurants. I later adapted those skills to the medical field as I participated in research, shadowed various physicians, and was employed as a physical therapy technician. I experienced a form of service that was in stark contrast to my past experiences in the food service industry.Throughout my educational career, I have developed a strong proficiency in my ability to learn new skills, teach and lead others with genuine concern, and communicate with those in need to reveal the best course of action to enhance their quality of life.I am passionate about the relentless progression of scientific advancements in the medical field. My approach to caring for and serving others has led to me furthering my pursuit to gain more knowledge and experience in the medical field. I achieved my Master’s Degree in Physiology from Georgetown University where I was able to collaborate with other like-minded individuals in a learning environment, which increased my knowledge of various pathologies, diagnoses, and respective treatments, and also enhanced my involvement with the community. As a student researcher in Patient Outcomes Research, I was able to work with the principal investigator and other physicians to assist in the publication of a research paper describing the efficacy of endoscopic repair of hip abductor tendon tears in various patient demographics, demonstrating my commitment to serving others and enhancing medicine through science!I am currently focused on gaining employment in the medical field where I can use my knowledge and experience to work with and communicate with physicians to improve the education and healthcare of patients, especially those in underserved communities.
