WSP acquired Golder in 2021 and I came along with the transition. My role expanded to include serving as the Texarkana office lead and portfolio manager for an international logistics client.

Golder acquired Pastor, Behling, and Wheeler in May 2018 and I was brought over with the transition. In addition to my previous management duties with PBW, I act as a direct client contact for several large midstream oil and gas companies on remediation projects. I manage the Louisiana portfolio for the Golder Texas Environmental division and handle all aspects of project management and life cycle.

In this position I built upon the foundational duties conducted throughout my career to handle the management of environmental cases at pipeline and terminal sites in Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri, Louisiana, and Texas. Management duties included overseeing the operations and maintenance (O&M) of numerous in-situ and ex-situ remediation systems installed to address free-phase and dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons in soils and groundwater. Additionally, management of multiple complex projects in phases from assessment to remediation and produce Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), Affected Property Assessment Reports (APAR), Site Investigation Reports (SIR), work plans, proposals, cost estimates, and risk evaluations.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana Area

I conducted environmental site assessments for major petroleum and small market clients in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Arkansas. Assessments varied depending on client needs and included Phase I/II, Tier II, EPA Region IV, and Louisiana RECAP site assessments. My responsibilities covered the entire spectrum of the assessment from initial proposal to procuring subcontractors and conducting field investigations to data evaluation and reporting. My position afforded me the opportunity to take part in budget and personnel management, planning and coordination, as well as technical oversight and remedial action evaluation. I developed and implemented corrective action plans (CAP) to achieve state cleanup standards while maximizing cost efficiency for client as well as completed permit applications and ensure proper permits (state, federal, and client) are obtained before work proceeds. I provided assistance to the local health & safety officer in the creation of Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and conducted Loss Prevention Observations (LPO) and Loss/Near Loss Investigations (L/NLI) to ensure safe practices during all work activities. A prime responsibility of mine was to maintain a culture of safety within the local office in accordance with Loss Prevention Systems (LPS) standards. This was done through the supervision of colleagues and subcontractors during soil boring and monitor well installations, utility locating, and groundwater sampling activities. I also mentored junior colleagues to strengthen their understanding of the regulatory environment and encourage their professional development. My work required close cooperation with state government organization during all phases of site investigations and remediation to achieve successful project closure.

Conducted site assessments through direct-push, hollow-stem auger, and sonic drill rig soil and groundwater sampling. Compiled data and prepared proposals, reports, and verbal-change-orders as well as initiated bids and well specifications for proposed site field work. Reviewed invoices and personnel time records to ensure project finances were according to budget. Calibrated and used sampling equipment during groundwater sampling, soil boring, well instillation, and source removal activities while directly supervising subcontractors on the job site. Worked closely with county, state, and local governmental organizations during the preparation and completion of remediation projects and fulfilled duties of project manager from proposal to completion of work order. Attended trade show conferences and utilized opportunities for meeting with potential subcontractors and clients to expand regional portfolio.
