Motivated by my passion for a strong team environment and succeeding as a unit, I am excited to pursue the next steps in my professional career. As a Communications major at the College of Charleston, I’ve delved into the realms of communication strategies, workplace identities, and media & digital communications- all of which have strengthened my knowledge and appreciation for what goes into keeping a successful company moving in the right direction. My professional journey has seen me collaborate with companies like Firehouse Subs and Big Fireworks, where I honed my sales and marketing skills, all while ensuring a seamless customer experience. As a natural team-player, I enjoyed the opportunities these roles provided to help create an environment where every employee and customer feels heard, recognized, and appreciated.Beyond the corporate world, I contributed to a year-long research study with NASA surrounding the analysis of the moon Europa, taking charge of a team focused on the landing of the exploration devices. This experience showcased and strengthened my leadership and problem-solving abilities, while also opening me up to new experiences, such as working directly with NASA scientists and graduate students throughout the process. This experience allowed me to take the communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills I developed in corporate settings and apply that to an educational, research setting, providing me with understanding the importance of flexibility and adaptability when working with my transferable skill-sets. In addition to my experiences with NASA, volunteering for the Humane Society's “Tails of the Trail” allowed me to apply my event planning and customer service skills towards a cause I am truly passionate about- helping displaced animals find loving homes. This experience with the Humane Society routinely demonstrated to me the importance of strong, clear communication, and how impactful that can be for a person- to the point that it can truly change their lives.Known for my friendly, funny, and adaptable nature, I thrive in collaborative environments where I can give to others as much as they give to me. My goal is to contribute my skills and enthusiasm to a team-driven workplace where we can collectively achieve great things. Open to new opportunities, I’m excited about the prospect of making meaningful contributions in my next career step!
