As the Chief External Affairs Officer at the Port of Vancouver (POV) USA, I lead a team of experts in communications, community relations, and government affairs. Our team can share how POV is positioned at a key crossroads of ocean-bound and river shipping lanes, interstate highways and national rail lines. The Port of Vancouver USA has been a part of our community for more than 110 years. We bring thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in economic benefit to Vancouver and our region. As an international seaport, POV is the ideal gateway for connecting Asia and South America to the US midcontinent and Canada. The port handles more than 7 million tons of cargo each year, including wheat, mineral and liquid bulks, vehicles, and a broad range of project cargo. We also have more than 50 industrial tenants, ranging from stainless steel tank manufacturing to plastic injection molding to craft-beer malt distribution.
