Managing the day to day operations of the NSW transport HUB with Direct and indirect operations staff totaling 125 my role is to ensure the express supply of freight within the Sydney Metropolitan and NSW regional areas along with next day delivery on the Eastern seaboard is seamless, managing as safe operation currently under Comcare and federal legislation safety is a key focus, along with cost management and cost down initiatives.In my short time in the role I have made some key cost savings using the DMAIC process to identify opportunities and control these process’s to maintain these savings.I also have responsibility for the site audit and compliance process ensuring SOP’S are kept up to date and the operation complies with Healthcare and Retail logistics supply chain requirements.

Managing the direct store delivery operation for the Sydney Metropolitan area. Comprising of 50+ fleet and multiple owner driver and 3PL operations.Manage the day to day operations and contractual aspects of the NSW metropolitan direct to store delivery contracts, focusing on WHS CoR compliance and overall customer service whilst being cost competitive.Key accountability included management of a $60M operating budget. Contract Management (30 owner drivers 1 3PL Provider) capacity planning (peak period). Hands on role within the supply chain linking the inventory, warehouse and distribution functions.Key Achievements:• Successfully implemented multiple 3PL distribution contracts and supporting infrastructure that has consistently exceeded all customer service KPI’s.• Conducted continuous improvement workshops that have delivered direct cost reductions through identification of opportunity in process re-design, alignment and non-value add activity removal.• Awarded the NSW Innovation award 2012 for designing a Special Events sales tool that drove incremental sales at major events.• Manage a team of direct and indirect staff mentoring and coaching performance to develop day to day skills and competencies and further develop careers • Successfully managed the Sydney metro re-entry to beer market

In this role I reported directly to the General manager manufacturing NSW my principle responsibilities were to manage the plant operations on a on a day to day basis the site was the main water source for Coca Cola Amatil beverages produced in NSW, with the site set on 90 acres the role was not only to manage the manufacturing site services it also played a major part in the role. Production took place on site but the majority being transported by tanker into Sydney to the main production facility.Key responsibilities• Ensure that the site operated safely with a focus on TRIFR, hazard reporting and safe operation.• Manage site services through Maximo management system.• Manage maintenance activity through dual trade direct report.• Manage site quality standards in line with ABWI req.• Develop production plans in line with forecast requirements• Manage the commercial aspect of the site..
