My Story: During my junior year, at Greece Arcadia High School, I injured my back attempting to dunk a basketball. I underwent 2 consultations from local Spinal Specialists and 2 different Physical Therapists, without any improvement. I felt like I was a victim of their factory-line approach, without much attention to figuring out my specific underlying mechanical problem (just another number in their system). Their suggestion was to live a sedentary lifestyle. Being an active 17 year old boy at the time, who's passionate about playing sports, that didn't fly! This motivated me to pursue Physical Therapy School and figure out how to resolve my underlying back pain. Outcome was successful!!Current Day:I'm married to my lovely wife Marisa and have 3 young, healthy and ACTIVE boys! I'm a co-owner of Genesee Valley Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab (GVPT), where we have a great professional team that all share in the same treatment approach. At GVPT, we want our patients to receive the attention needed to establish a successful rehab program that is goal oriented and specific to the roadblocks preventing you (our patients) from living your desired active lifestyle. GVPT has 6 land-based Outpatient Orthopedic Clinics in the Rochester Area: Gates, Greece, Webster, Perinton, Pittsford & Penfield; We function out of 5 YMCA's to provide Aquatic Physical Therapy services and a transitional gym program for our land-based patients in the clinic who desire progressing towards an independent gym program.
